About Us

The Club

The Offroad and Camping Club of Victoria Incorporated, is a family friendly car club that enjoys getting out and about in the Australian bush. The club was formed in 2018 by a group of people who have a shared vision of enjoying the sights of remote Australia in a safe and environmentally friendly way. For us it’s about seeing the beauty of this country in it’s natural environment, and an off-road vehicle is the chosen method for traveling to these places.

Many trips include some light bush walking and visits to places of interest, such as museums, historical markers, mining relics, look outs, etc.

The Trips

The club runs many trips each year that range from social gatherings, touring sight seeing trips, offroad day trips, and multiple day offroad camping trips. The following lists some of our trips.

  • Social day events: Movie nights, Afternoon tea, Street Art of Melbourne.
  • Social Touring: Silos of the Western Victoria, Point Hicks, Omeo – Mt Feathertop.
  • Offroad day trips: Tallarook, Licola snow trip.
  • Offroad routing trips: Fraser Island, Grampians National Park, Portland Dune Buggy Club, Tasmanian South East Coast.

Trip Classifications

OCCV grade our trips by using the Track Classifications guide as provided by Four Wheel Drive Victoria: https://www.4wdvictoria.org.au/index.php/track-classifications

The majority of our trips would fall into the Medium category. Some may have one or two difficult sections. However, the emphasis is on enjoyment and safe travel, as no one want to be fixing their vehicle at the end of a trip.

There is also a ‘Social’ classification which would be suitable for any vehicle type.

Club Meetings

If you would like to come to one of our meetings and get t know us we usually meets once a month on the second Wednesday of the month starting at 7.30 pm. vehicle type.

Meetings are held at the Mount Waverley Youth Centre, 45 Miller Crescent, Mount Waverley (opposite the Mount Waverley train station). There is parking out the front and in the back of the library.
